Beginner's Luck!

this last weekend we went to Lake Fontenelle up by Kemmerer. It was Eleni's first time camping and Dimitri's first time fishing. It was fun. I'm so glad Eleni walks now, it makes it easier to do fun things. So Alex, George, Pam and Mitri went fishing while I stayed in the trailer (Hollywood as one fellow camper called it cuz it's so big) with Eleni so she could take a nap. Pam caught a nice 17" trout and as they were getting ready to leave Mitri caught a fish. It was a 21" 4 lb trout...Alex had a hell of a time reeling it in with a dinky kid pole LOL. I would have loved to have seen that. But Dimitri was so excited and he keeps asking when we will eat it. I love that kid.
Dimitri's latest thing is power rangers. Don't know why. But it is. He has even named each of us a character. He is red, Al is blue, Yia Yia is yellow, I'm pink, Eleni is white, George is purple and Tom is black (he says cuz the black guy is mean..lol). Eleni loves dolls and anything that has to do with them. They both crack us up.

Bad Words

So the other day Dimitri asked me, "Mommy, when I get bigger can I say bad words and not get hot sauce...like YiaYia?" So funny. He cracks me up. I told him that he can say them when he gets bigger like daddy but its still not nice to say them.
Little side note: He is an echo....I seriously have to think about what I'm saying before I say it now. He's repeated a couple of words I shouldn't have said myself.

I'm going to SLC tonight for my ARUP interview tomorrow...I'm pretty sure I'll get offered that job but I'm not so sure that's the one I want. I'm hoping the other places I've interviewed for will offer me the position and that ARUP will be my "just in case" job.

Happy Birthday Eleni

August 29th a year ago I had my baby girl. I can't believe she's already 1. Man how time flies when you get older.

Holy Cow...I mean Buffalo!!

Alex got the once in a lifetime chance to hunt for buffalo. Sept 1 at 4:30 pm Alex got it (Carmichael is what they named him when they were scouting). This thing is HUGE! There is no other way to explain it. It took them two hours, 2 saws, and 3 knives later to gut and cut the thing up. He (Carmichael) is 1/2 inch short of the world record. His horns are 15.5 inches long and 15 inches around the base. I'm excited to say that after this hunting season (3 elk, 3 deer, 3 antelope, 1 buffalo and maybe a couple of bears) we won't have to buy any meat at all for the next year. I will post pics later.

Oh and props to all the single parents out there! I had the kids for the weekend by myself and oh man was I ready for Alex to come back.
